Friday 20th July - Up early and Thuyen took me over the bridge and we had breakfast before I boarded my bus to DaNang. The trip takes about two hours and you go over the wonderful Hai Van Pass. I am a "young" traveller from just outside of Canberra, the capital of Australia and have just recently retired. For the past several years I wanted to do some volunteer work in orphanages in Vietnam and this "dream" came true for me in 2006 and I returned again in 2007 to Vietnam and Thailand.
