Dramatic skies above baby Taj...

This mausoleum was commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who had been given the title of Itimâd-ud-Daulâ (pillar of the state). Mirza Ghiyas Beg is also the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of the emperor Shah Jahan, responsible for the building of the Taj Mahal.

It was pleasant to watch Haridwar wake up at 5 in the morning, sky already bright at that time, the Ganga Ghats already peppered with people carrying out their morning ablutions in the cold cold grey-blue waters.
