New and old and new again
What I like so much with the Cape Town architecture is that it's less bound by strict rules than in northern Europe. City planners here don't care too much about mixing the different styles, colours, sizes or ages of the buildings, which creates a very lively city. One of the sad things is that few building are considered cultural heritages and can thus be replaced by new ones, which is the price a city pays for a dynamic city centre.
