First Beacon Tower

The only surviving portion of the original Jiayuguan Fort--once used to relay warnings with windborne smoke signals. Steps leading to the Taolai River Gorge--semi-thrilling tourist trap but part of the 'package'--only spent a day in Jiayuguan.
