This is the lowest part at the foot of Slieve Donard where people will take rest before ascending the peak. It takes 2.5 hours to reach this point of the Mountain from the town centre of New Castle

It was a wonderful sunny but chilly day, Dec 9/06 when my friends (8 friendly people) from the church and I joined together to climb this magnificent peak of Slieve Donard in the Mournes Mountain.
