The open, hard-surface plaza adjoining the City and County buildings hosts numerous large community events and "La Grand Vitesse," the Alexander Calder Stabile which symbolizes the City of Grand Rapids.

A Michigander all my life, I live on the beautiful Lake Michigan west side of the state. I'm an armchair traveler whose adventures have included going as far west as California and south to Florida, and motorcycling around the Great Lakes.
