BATTLE OF ROUND HILL
Round Hill was the first battle in the civil war fought in Oklahoma. All participants in it were opposing factions of various Indian tribes. Stand Watie did not yet have his brigade mustered, and did not fight here but the Confederates won anyway and the Union forces retreated back to Kansas.
