A few things I've learned this past week: Ireland is not separated into Northern Ireland and "Regular" Ireland; when buying a beer on the slow boat to Laos do NOT use a 1000 Baht note and expect correct change in Kip; the kids on the side of the road with buckets of water don't care if your camera gets wet; and head out early in Luang Prabang (strict 12:00 curfew) unless you want to end up at the ... read more
