01 Mountains
Travelling through the Dinaric Alps, somewhere between Mostar and Sarajevo.Geo: 43.8608, 18.4214
It was about a two hour train journey to Sarajevo. Seats were not allocated and we tried to elbow our way onto the train- like the locals did, but we wasted time trying to get seats altogether. So we missed out on seats, instead we shared 3 seats between the 7 of us- taking in turns. It wasn't too bad. The scenery was amazing. Luckily our carriage had entertainment, a group of local guys with a guitar and lots of beer.
When we arrived in Sarajevo the majority of the group wanted to walk to the hostel, I was not impressed. The tram at the train station would take us straight to the hostel- it could have been so easy. So we started walking, we didn't follow the tram tracks, no we followed the directions of a local. It got us nowhere, so 30 minutes later we ended up back at the train station and then the everyone decided that a tram would be a good idea!
Our accommodation wasn't really a hostel. Shona and I had a twin share room and the others were in an apartment. We freshened up and went to explore the town and find
