Day 4 Finally getting our act together
It feels like we have just wasted the last couple of days with the camper, our gear and getting over the jet-lag. But today we have finally ticked the first adventure of our list which involved a trip to Dawson Falls. The falls sit nestle just underneath Mount Egmount, a rather majestic looking mountain that set Jaime on fire to climb. (Managed to talk him out of that one thank god, but had to promise to let him look into at least climbing some of Mount Cook - YIKES)
So, its now 9.30 at night as I am writing this and we are sardined into our trusty camper Ellie, on a rather lovely DOC (Department of Conservation) campsite.
I have had my first encounter with a composting toilet YUK, hand me the disinfectant and the Ozzi bugs have decided I’m not as tasty as the UK ones seem to think, yeay!
We are driving the distance to the Capital Wellington tomorrow and hope to spend the day there before making our way over to the South Island.
