Left Invercargill on a sunny day, however the wind chill left a bit to be desired. We went through Tuatapere to get to Te Anu stopping off at a couple of lookouts along the way. It was a very scenic drive and only took about 4 hours to get there with all the stops and lunch. We stayed at the Distinction on Luxmore which was very nice, no mini bars in the room so if you wanted something other thancoffee you had to call up room service for it..

We managed to get the Xmas package which included dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, so needless to say we were very full after dinner and had to work it off with a game of mini golf, which David won, and then we went for a ride on a quainteresting if you have a few people who can co ordinate themselves it makes it a lot easier, but not as much fun.

We watched the sun go down and decided to head to bed.
