Day 18 - Westport

Checked in for our flight at some god awful time in the morning. The plane was tiny! Two seats wide, no head room to stand up, fits 19 people and our air steward was also the pilot! The flight though was good as you never get up to high and we got a great view of Abel Tasman - will definitely have to go there next time we visit NZ. Got to Westport early and thought we'd kill a bit of time at the airport till we could check in but the airport turned out to be a shed so that idea went out the window. Luckily the place where we are staying were very accommodating and let us check in at 9am. Nice to be in a hotel instead of a hostel for a night....lovely home comforts! Not a lot to do in Westport to be honest so we took a stroll around the town and to the river buller before cooking ourselves a long over due feast.
