Not the best start to the day. We went to bed last night blissfully unaware that we had a horror in a midst...Not 10 mins in bed when it started....agh! Pheunmatic snoring!! All night! Needless to say we awoke very tired. It is so hard to sleep through snoring. I guess we have been lucky so far. Anyway, we got up at 7am and went up Mount iron. It was a 2 hr walk and got lovely views of Wanaka from the summit. Got back on the Stray bus at lunch to come to Queenstown. Queenstown is home of bungy so we stopped off at Kawarau bridge to watch or participate. I chose the watching option, although several Stray people jumped. It was a beautiful day to jump and they seemed to enjoy it. Hostel is a bit of an airless, gloomy prison but the town is wonderful - so picturesque with the lake and mountains so we won't need to be in the the hostel much for sure.
