This blog was lost due to a system crash so 3 months later Im trying to remember the text that goes with the pictures

Arrived into the sleepy town of Hokitika from Nelson Via The Punakiki Pancake rocks which were pretty bizzare, took www.nakedbus.com very good for 1 dollar journeys, they dont travel the whole of the South Island but most of it.

I went in search of Steve from Bonz & Stonz... apparently the best guy to see about carving out your own piece of green stone

The whole process can take a day from picking out your piece of jade to the design to the hardest part...cutting and carving it. NZ80 dollars...

Had met up with a girl from The Checz Rep and decided to Hitch with her to Franz Josef Galcier......
