We headed up to Hanmer Springs nice & early this morning so we got a full day there! It only took 2hrs drive and the scenery was so beautiful-snow capped mountains!
We'd already looked up a place to stay called Alpine Adventure park so we headed straight for there...as i'm the 'navigator' this means i have to do all the running around asking prices and stuff when we get there (well according to Sean it does anyway!) Well at first they said they were fully book because its Easter weekend...damn it we'd forgot that, must be cause we had no easter eggs to remind us..aaahhhh! But they managed to squeeze us in!
The main attraction here is the Thermal Pools so we headed straight for there! I had a free voucher that'd i'd found in a brochure that got us our own private pool for 30mins for free.we were well chuffed! This private pool was really hot which Sean just couldn't handle from the moment he got in it!
Most of the pools here have Sulphur in them and ranged from 30degrees-41..really hot! When i came out all my silver jewellery had turned black, silly me i didn't read the teeny weeny notice telling me to take it off!

In the evening we decided to have our first go at cooking in our little van, 20 minutes into it the gas ran out!!!!....then the water ran out and then our heater broke..talk about bad luck! Luckily our food had just finished cooking but we were definitly in for a very cold night!

Rough life eh???
hey guys!! Looks like you are having an amazing time. We are very happy for you. We are at home now! It is good to be home but we miss not having nothing to do! The weather is here is beautiful though and it is good to see the dog! We're steady back at work now busting idiots trying to bring bad stuff into the country:) The mineral springs look amazing. we did the same thing in Vietnam in a place called Na Trang. It had natural mud springs and mineral water springs, and the water was too hot for me too!! But Trent loved it! I love the travel blog, so keep in touch and have fun!! Cheers!!
