We left early Monday morning, after a great night of celebrating the "survival" of our bungy jumps, and so the long bus ride to the very south of the south island was quite ok. We all could use a bit of sleep, right? Michelle, from Perth- Australia, and I are the only ones from our previous bus that are heading south on the Bottom Bus. Since the Bottom Bus is a lot smaller, we get to know everyone farely well, and this trip today is really all about getting to Dunedin, the 'scottish" college town of the first University in New Zealand. On our way we stop at Clyde Dam, which is the largest dam in NZ, and is really quite impressive. It does not hold up to the Hoover Dam, but then again, only 1 million people live in the entire the South Island. 😊
We arrive in Dunedin in the early afternoon, drive around town a bit, have a short stop at the surfer's beach, and then climb up the worlds steepest street, Baldwin Street. Apperantly they are fighting with Lomdard Street in San Francisco about who has the steepest street, and Baldwin won according to the Guiness Book.

Aside from Baldwin Street, a harbor and lot's of Speight's beer pub's (the Speight's brewery is here in Dunedin), there is not to much going on in this farely large town. Which was actually quite welcomed after the events and excitment of the previous days, and so Michelle and I had a nice "homecooked" dinner at our hostel, got some laundry done, and sat by the little fireplace in the "living" room of our hostel and shared stories with all the other random travellers.

tomorrow we are heading even further South, so stay tuned...
