Well, since Emily and I are receptionists at The Old Countryhouse we get some good deals through companies that we recommend to our guests. A company called Black Cat Cruises lets us go on harbour cruises in Lyttelton for free! SO as we have Wednesdays off together we booked ourselves in.

We stopped at The Bean Scene which is a cafe where Emily works on Sundays to have some breakfast. I had eggs benedict, nothing like yours mom but still good! Then we hopped on the bus from town that takes us out to Lyttelton where we are met by a boat.

We had a perfect day for the boat cruise. The sun was shining and we had a great time. The boat goes all along the harbour in Lyttelton and a bit to the open ocean where we saw a couple of dolphins frolicking in the water. It was a great day!

It was Kumiko’s last day at OCH so we decided to have a big BBQ dinner for her with an amazing amount of meat. I made some Canadian potato salad. We seriously had so much meat and corn on the cob because February here is corn season, weird! Haha. Great corn though.

It was super sad to see another one of my Japanese girls go but I know she will have a great time continuing on travelling around New Zealand. Enjoy the pictures!
