Uhh... did we take a wrong turn and end up in the UK? We had a one night stop in Christchuch on our way to Dunedin. The city is beautiful, full of gardens, the Avon River, and the city center is anchored by Cathedral Square. Without having much time to spend we headed straight for what we knew... the tourist tram cars. We hopped on the tram and saw the sights. After a few trips around the loop we headed over to the Botanic Gardens and Pat found his dream house (not if he wants Molly to live there!). We also toured around the arts centre located in the old University of Canterbury Campus (since relocated) with it's really cool neo-gothic buildings.
