Today again was a driving day; and a boring one with not much to stop at on the way. We did stop briefly to look at some old Maori rock drawings but they were faint, small, and not particulary interesting.

We eventually found our way to Christchurch where we'll spend some time tomorrow looking around and sorting things out before we return the Campervan and get ready for Australia.

We can't believe a month has passed by already - its gone so quick! There is so much more we want to see and do here but we'd need atleast 3 months and a budget five times bigger! We're now very much looking forward to Australia - where it will be warm!

Yay!
Hi guys, Following your progress with great interest. You seem to be having a great time - but we need MORE PICTURES! Did you ever get to the Church? If you're still in Christchurch - go visit the Antarctic Centre (I think it's over by the airport) - it's fun way to spend an hour or two! Great blog! C.

You'll be back, believe it!
Hi u2, We are back in N Zealand in Feb, this time to the north island, before meeting up with Graham and Jane in Nelson. I wish we'd done the south island years ago and had the chance to try all the activities you did. Hope Australia provides just as many memorable experiences. Good on ye both! love jeff and Anne

Re: Yay!
Hi Chris - thanks for the comment! Yup, we visited the Church of the Good Shepherd on day 33 - its a very picturesque place set but I wasn't quite in the right mind to appreciate it fully as I'd just received an email about my grandads death. As for the photos - struggling to find time to upload! Oh, and we couldn't afford to do the antartic center either due to our budget!

Re: You'll be back, believe it!
Yup; we know we'll be back! There are loads of tramping and climbing I'd (Phil) like to do on another visit. Yes,I heard you where all going back to NZ again. I hope you all have a great time - and hopefully the weather will better for you; we arrived at the end of one of the coldest/snowest winters they've had for years so where caught between a battle between winter and summer. As for the activities : your never too old :o))
