Akaroa
The morning started cloudy but soon cleared. We decided to go on a walk to the Heritage Park which was on top of the peninsula. It was a steep climb and we climbed and climbed and at each stage we saw more and more beautiful views. We took the walk slowly as it was very warm. The sound of the birds was wonderful and there were an amazing variety of flowers and plants. Some of it was just like a set from the hobbit the trees were huge. We eventually made it to the top where we found Heritage Park which was not what we expected, a bit disappointing. We then walked all the way back down the hill, through the holiday park and to the village. The height of the hill was 2500 ft, so we did quite well. Berry smoothie and a coffee later we had a second lunch back at the apartment and then took another walk in to town to see if we could get a trip to see the Penguins. I did a bit of shopping there are some great gift shops here. We decided to book a boat trip out which takes in Dolphins and Penguins and then we found another trip which will take us to the Penguins in Flea Cove guess I will need to spray up before we go.Spent the rest of the afternoon reading by the sea enjoying the sunshine then went out for a meal at a waterside restaurant, it was lovely but the Salmon wasn't as good as the Salmon that Rob cooked. Such a lovely day
