Walking in Abel Tasman

Australasia » New Zealand » South Island » Abel Tasman By jenron
March 28th 2007 Weather slightly overcast but we did a longer walk along part of the Abel Tasman Way to Bark Bay. The path is superb following the small valleys that meet the sea in lovely sandy coves at one of them crossing a suspension bridge. We had a picnic on the beach and then returned the way we came, There was an inconsequential drizzle on parts of the way back, which did little to dampen our enjoyment. In the evening we settled snugly in front of the open fire reading by gaslight. (There was a very good sack of old National Geographic magazines with fascinating articles).
