Driving north to Snell's Beach

Wednesday December 30 – Today we did a lot of driving northwards along the coast, stopping a lot on the way. We had a picnic at Orewa, where a river meets the sea. We stopped in Puhoi to see an old German settlement and the church of Peter and Paul. We stopped in Warkworth and took a short walk and learned about free camping at Snell’s Beach, where we ended up for the night. It was a beautiful sight and we were really happy to have found out about it. We even cooked our first and only campervan meal there.
