Hey everyone, if you can actually read this thing im really not sure?? New Zealand has been FANTASTIC! Turned up in Auckland with no idea what was going on or where I was going! Then ended up leaving a couple of days later with all sorted and wicked people met! Visited a place called cathedral cove on the coromandel coastline, getting to know everyone! Stayed at an awesome little hostel and had a massive BBQ in the rain which was a little interesting to say the least hehe! 29.11.07 Drove on towards Taupo and besides seeing a lot of dead Possums on the road it was a quiet drive. Stopped at the Huka Falls, very impressive and the water was crystal clear. I hired a rental car from Auckland and drove the four hours down. The drive is really beautiful, for the most part it is all countryside passing through a few small towns along the way. Arrived early morning and went and caught up with my friend Hamish who owns one of the ski shops there. Then drove the half hour winding mountain road to the top of the mountain. It was so good to be on real snow again. Im so used to snowboarding on ... read more

Hello everyone, sorry about the delay, but yes, your eyes do not deceive you, that is in fact a Giant Carrot! Not quite the golden one we've been after, but let me explain how we got here. Last week we caught the ferry from Picton on the South Island to Wellington on the North, and have been making our way up the North Island since. Picton was a beautiful port town set into the tip of the Queen Charlotte Sound, one of many breath-taking bodies of water that make up the Marlborough Sounds. The ferry crossing was amazing, as we sailed through huge islands of green, arriving in Wellington just before midday. Mt Victoria is actually just a hill, but set right in the middle of New Zealand's capital it provides a fantastic 360 view of ... read more
