I walked from the hostel to the top of the road with the rucksacks which was half km to catch the magic bus, met a German guy who was waiting for another company called stray, his pick up time was 7:30am mine was 8:15am. Mine arrived at 8:10 and I boarded the bus, we then went onto a few more hostels then took a drive upto
Mount Eden for some photo’s. We then set off from Auckland to Waitomo where we stopped to look at caves which had glow worms in if you wanted you could walk into them or go river rafting through them, Did not bother to go into the caves as expensive. From Waitomo we headed to Rotoura which was a nights stop over, I stopped 2 nights at the YHA, on the first night we went to a hangi night a traditional Maori meal, then day 2 Walked around the lake and went for a meal at night.
