We were lucky enough to have a 5 day break from school over Easter so we made the most of it and headed off North of Auckland to explore the top end of the North Island.

We met these fellow Aucklanders on Good Friday which is a "dry" day in NZ - can't buy alcohol anywhere. Luckily, these guys had a cooler full of beer and nowhere to drink it so we did the only kind thing and offered them our hotel room :0)

Not sure why I look so scared. It was too hot to climb to the top and impossible to get the sledge moving on the small slopes.
