Kiwi Breakfast!

I love the green of the kiwi (which are much tastier here btw), against the red of the bowl and the cream of the soy milk and mom's homemade yoghurt. Yum! They have very cool yoghurt makers here, that only require mix packet (or already made yogught) and milk mixed up, put in this special container, then you put that in _another_ container and add hot water. in 12-18 hrs you have lots of yoghurt!

The water here at Motuarohita was so green!

You can't tell, but we are going VERY fast! It was so much fun to be up on the bow, which has the most up and down action!

Blue Penguin!

This was the cutest little guy! He was very very close but the seas were pitching and heaving so much and I was in the little dinghy. He was just calmly swimming along!

Hole in the Wall

This is in a tiny island way out off the coast, in real ocean. Tourist chartered boats come out here all the time. Lots of them roar up and down thru the hole. It is very difficult to tell, but the ocean is REALLY heaving up and down here!!! and the rocks are VERY close!! It is very scarey to be in the tiny dinghy going thru it!! Luckily, there were no other boats the entire time we were there - very unusual and fortunate!

It is very dark inside the hole! Again, you can't at all get an idea of the feeling - it was so loud, the waters crashing and heaving up and down, the walls so close, lots of stuff living in the water and it was quite shallow and the ceiling quite low.

We anchored in Oke Island's bay for the night and took the little dingy out to explore...
