After months of saving in the tip pot, Ami (from Curry King - our pirate/pengiuin/rent-a-cop/closest friend in Kerikeri) and Erin surprised Ryan… Not with a lunch of organically grown Kobe beef (it’s REALLY nice!) but with a 12,000 foot jump out of a plane.

October has been the month of splurge (also including our 8-year Anniversary Compound and Halloween Extravaganza 2007 - pictures and (possibly) recaps to follow shortly), and it really needed to go out with a bang. So we chose a perfect weather day (just a few clouds - the better for us to orient ourselves with while plummeting to the Earth at over 150 mph) and took the plunge. Aside from us telling you that we got to see our house, the east coast of the North Island, and most of the Bay of Islands, the pictures speak for themselves… And you’ll probably hear all about it (ad nauseum) from us at some point in the future…

We tried to steal the jumpsuits, but they caught us.
