Susie wearing her Oh so sexy waterproof It may have been raining on Valentines Day but that didn't stop us Travellers Volunteers from finding things to keep us occupied and so we headed to Kelly Tarlton's aquarium for the afternoon.
The aquarium contained many interesting fishy creatures which our group spent many hours attempting to take photos of. The main feature of the aquarium is the tunnel like viewing gallery where the fish and sharks swim over you as you move round on a sort of treadmill type thing. After watching the feeding of the enormous sting rays and a quick visit to see the penguins we made our way back home via food town where we bought food for another group meal of sausage and mash with cakes for pudding!
We seem to have gauged the portions better this week and so won't be eating sausage and mash all week which makes a change! I also watched 'Little Miss Sunshine' last night which was quite a good film, good for a laugh.
Today we managed to get up early (Emily got up especially early to watch the rugby on the internet - which incidentally we lost as expected but hey) and we made our way

Back of the Bus Crew to Victoria Park Market - a permanent market a bit of a walk out of town. It is full of fantastic souvenir shops etc and there was a live two man band today with an insane drummer so we sat and had the equivalent of English hot wok whilst listening to these guys. They're p;aying at a local bar in town on Saturday and i'm going to try and see them again after having a chat with them at the end, it turns out the drummer worked with lloydd Webber in London a while back... For those who appreciate it, he did about a minute long one handed drum roll whilst playing an insane beat with his other hand! He also had a talking drum! Wooo. Enough about drumming! Following our trip to the market we headed back to the hostel to grab beach things and met up with some of the others before taking the bus to Mission Bay, on of the beaches just outside Auckland. We had a great sunbathe in the heat and ice creams to finish up a fantastic day!
