Alive & Kicking

Just a little snippet of a blog to reassure all concerned fans (just Sara actually) and my dear mother that we are indeed alive and kicking. We have just returned from a 9 day stint island hopping on the Yasawa and Manamuca Islands and there are no phones, internet and sometimes no electricity on them, hence no blog. There will be a full, comprehensive blog in a couple of days time so if you can hold on till then that would be great.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Very kind of you all. Looking forward to all the presents and the soggy chocolate cake on the doorstep.

P.P.S. On the job front I have received my very first job offer as a travel writer. It's from a major magazine requesting an expansion on one of my blogs as they felt it would be of interest to their readership. I'll keep you posted on the negotiations.
