Paul Michael James Drea Well, i had never been on such a little plane.Propellers!
in flight meal was two sandwiches wrapped in cling film!

only stayed in two places.Raintree lodge near Suva which had the park next to it and was just gorgeous.had a massive dorm all to myself. pool, and restaurant/bar.
great place to chill for a couple of days

then went up to the coral coast to fiji beach house and had a few nights there. sand , palm trees, scones for afternoon tea.

didn't feel as south pacific as Samoa though. but its much bigger and most people head for the islands off the north coast.

very friendly though and def worth another visit.

wanted to see some shops though and the food other than at raintree was generally poor in the whole south seas.

too much junk and processed food but there were a few exceptions

basically an old quarry where they were digging and hit an underground water source. filling the whole thing. still trucks and bulldozers down there!
now home to lots of carp like fish which love bread roll !

interesting place Suva if only cos you could get some decent Indian Food. a view old colonial style building, Regal Cinema, very English.

while i was there they had a photo shoot for the new brochure. i was prob kinda in the corner. would love to see it.

opposite the lodge was a national park which had trails,water falls, pools to swim in , everything. well worth 50 pence to get in
