Farewell Perth..hello campervan

Just before returning the car we paid a visit to Ikea to get a few bits for the campervan. Why is it that we are hundreds of miles away from the UK yet Ikea is exactly the same...even laid out identically to our local branch back home. It was so weird as without hearing anyone speaking we could have been in our local Ikea.

Our last Saturday night is spent at a “Northern Soul” party, organised by John’s mate Kirk. After struggling to get there (a bit of a way out of town and the last bus left central Perth at 6.30pm!) we finally figure out a route using the local train instead. All of the usual crowd are there and everyone really lets their hair down and has a good old dance to the tunes playing. By the end of the night we are totally exhausted and a little worse for wear but have had a really good time. We really will be sad to leave Perth as we’ve had such a brilliant time and everyone’s been fantastic at looking after us. Can’t wait to start our campervan experience though...bring it on!!
