Puck posing for a photo
Monkey Mia is a resort built on a beach where dolphins come every day to be fed by volunteers. We enquired about volunteering here but weren't given a definate answer that we could so we decided to just pass through. The dolphins get fed three times every morning and then there's nothing much to do but sunbathe and relax in the pool and hot tub.

The dolphins are gorgeous and one of them has a little calf that's less than two weeks old. The calf kept zooming around and looked like it hadn't quite got the hang of swimming! Adorable. I was picked to feed a dolphin on the first day, I think I fed Puck. We left the beach after the first feed on the first day and sunbathed on the beach. Today, we got up for sunrise because we met some people on the shuttle here and they got up for it on the first day and said it was really nice and one of them saw a small shark in the shallow water. The sunrise was really good, definately worth getting up for. We didn't see any sharks though. We were the first people out on then

beach today and it was really nice to be there before the crowd and I stood on the jetty and watched the dolphins swim in underneath. We watched all three feeds and then went for a swim in the pool and a dip in the hot tub.

We now have a twenty four hour journey ahead of us to get to Broome.

I like the photo of puck! sounds like an amazing place, even slightly better than a near-flooded Carlisle. xxx
