Millstream-Chichester Range National Park
A view of Millstream-Chichester Range National Park 2nd December, 2012.
Early start today as we were keen to visit the gorges at Karjini National Park. Our first stop was Pythons Pool, which is located in Millstreams Chichester National Park. On route, the scenery was spectacular. However, the same could not be said of Pythons Pool as it was very green (algae infested!!!). We continued our journey to Karjini National Park, which was via a gravel road. Just when the sun was directly above us and the temperature gauge nudging 43 degrees, Taylor had a puncture. We made the most of this time, preparing lunch while Daniel changed the tyre.
After lunch, we continued on and arrived at Karjini National Park late in the afternoon. The gorges were an amazing sight, but the water was way too cold. There were warnings for dingos in the area and we weren't allowed to use our Gennie, so as the sun went down, we headed towards Tom Price. We found a campsite near Tom Price but it was called RIP Lookout. There was an airy feeling about this place and we decided to REST elsewhere (no pun intended!!!).
