Grandad cliff, Dad John, and me!
Its a cold christmas day, 10 days before i set off on my trip to Asia. Cold for Australian standards anyway: typically christmas would come with a barby, and a day lounging in the pool... instead i'm stuck inside with the family with the heater on full and the spa pumping!! santa has been generous this year 😉 with plenty of goodies to take with me on the trip, including a lonely planet guide to Thailand... ACE! now i can start getting really excited about my trip!

So it was a bit of a spontaneous decision to backpack asia about 3 months ago, so as soon as my exams finished for uni i commenced full time work doing traffic control, (or the more common, but less important sounding name.. lollie pop man!) so i spent 6 weeks getting up early and standing out on the road all day. your envious, i can tell! As work dried up there, i started labouring. so i have just made enough to go overseas.. which will include flying into Thailand, traveling through Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia. So keep checking here and ill keep you posted about what i get up too!

to all my mates, Have a merry christmas, and i'll see you all in the new year when i come back: taller, darker, and... skinnier!

cya!

Proud of ya!
What a cool trip your on. Your Aunt Kay and Dad took a similar trip around America and Europe. Now I know it runs in the family. Loved your stories about each leg- please keep it coming. Take care, Broden.
