HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Apologies to those of you who received a drunken phonecall at midnight!!

Anyway, gotta go back a bit... been a mad few weeks...

Had a great time on Tiss' hen do. We had an english garden party with cakes, pimms etc - nothing like anything I've had in England though!! Was lovely. Went out into town after and got appropriately drunk.

On the Monday we relocated to our house in Torquay. I was in a house of 8 and next to us was a house of 6, and we had a further house of 7 down the road. Mix of brits, kiwis and aussies. In a word - carnage. Our house came with a huge garden, bbq, flat screen and pool table!! And we were a 5 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Have basically been drunk ever since... ha ha.

Took a roady down the great ocean road (with a case of beer of course) and stopped at Bells Beach, Lorne for fish and chips, saw the lighthouse from 'Round the Twist' tv show, saw some koalas in the wild and drove to the 12 apostles rocks before heading back to Torquay. It was excellent.

Everyone came to the house for xmas day, about 25 of us in total I think and we had a huge bbq with more food and drink than our eyes and bellies could handle. It was a great day and we popped to the beach a few times. Really didnt feel like xmas which is probably a good thing or I would have burst into tears... I trust you all had a good one too!!!

27th was the wedding day finally and it was perfect. Sun was shining as we waited for Tiss on the beach, and following a lovely ceremony was a cracking evening of eating, drinking and dancing.

Took another roady down the great ocean road to see a few things we missed courtesy of our local took guide Andre (Tiss' bro). Saw a lovely river and waterfall and went to a few of their childhood haunts. Was good to go with someone who knew what they were looking at!

On new years we had a bbq at the house and went to a pub/club to finish the evening off and it was a really good night.

Now back in Geelong for a few days before I head back to Melbourne and then Sydney.
