Hey guys,
this is our first entry since arriving in Paris and thus far the experience has been great. We arrived at 1:30 Paris time on Wednesday 28th of May and had completly no idea of where to go.
After speaking to one of the tourist information booths with our non existant French skills ( sorry mum the translation book did not help us) we were given a bunch of maps and were sent on our merry. We nutted out where we wanted to go and caught the first taxi we saw to the nearest Hostel called Woodstock, and were put up in a dorm with four other back packers who are fortunately really nice people. Tired from the 20 hr plane flight we decided to get some rest before heading out to a really nice italian resteraunt for some really awsome pizzas.
29th of May -
Karina and I managed to get up at 6:30am and head down stairs for some breakfast before heading out to do some site seeing. We headed north to find this enormous old church called the La Grande Mosaique, and we could only describe what we saw as breath taking. The art work that decorated the ceiling and the large statues were apsolutely beautiful.
After that we just started wondering about aimlessly to which ever direction took our fancy and took in all the beaty that is Paris.
We have taken lots of photoes but unfortunately have not figured out how to post them up YET.
We hope every body is safe and we will be in touch again soon .
Love Karina and Brett. xxx
