Warne out on Boxing Day

Well we wish Warne was out. We don't need to tell you how bad England are at Cricket so we'll salvage some upsides from our three days at the Melbourne Cricket Ground:

1. We sit behind someone dressed as a parrot.
2. We eat lots of pies in the awesome MCG stadium.
3. Our cricket package includes a five-star hotel - a far cry from the hostels of China.

5. Celebrity claim to fame Beeb commentator Jonathon Agnew is in the hotel room opposite ours

7. (Emma Only) The cricket mercifully lasts three days - disposing us to much more rewarding pursuits - pigeon baiting, pie eating etc

Our December 25 picnic is a washout as Melbourne suffers its coldest Christmas in 70 years. Instead we scoff our turkey sandwiches and champagne in the hotel room. We're uncomfortably full, but still eating chocolate and watching Bugsy Malone on the box. Feels just like home.
