Went into the city and walked to the MCG where I found that there was a day night match being played from 2pm. As it was 10:30 and they were not doing the tours I went back into the city and met a guy from the hostel who was looking for a ticket agency to see if there were any test match tickets left. I had seen the ticket office so showed him where it was and he got tickets for the day 2 & 3 for $40 aus dollars about £20 each day. I tried to get tickets for Sydney but no chance advised all sold out. We then got a bite of lunch then headed for the MCG to watch the cricket which was NSW V Victoria Blues, Victoria blues won.At the end we headed back into town and went to the Chinese quarter for the meal followed by a visit to PJ Briens pub which is the headquarters for the Barmy Army. Some of them advised not to buy tickets from touts within the vicinity of the ground as the touts and people buying were being arrested for touting.
