Today was the last day of the Moomba festival and the Labour day bank holiday in Victoria. It was also a nice sunny day so we caught the tram into the CBD and walked down St Kilda road watching the procession of weird and wonderful floats. The last float of the parade had the King & Queen of the festival. Harry Kewell & Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who is a an Australian actress.

Once the parade had finished we walked onto the botanical gardens and enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the impressive Flora and Fauna. Along the way saw turtles, spiders and head a species of bird that has the strangest call, resembling a sonar blip. We started to get peckish after a couple of hours of walking so we headed to Swan St to check out a different area of Melbourne. We went to the Cheeky Monkey café, where we had a steak sandwich & open salmon sandwich, which was much needed by the time we had found the café.
