two weeks til vegas

VIVA LAS VEGAS

Hey everyone as you may or may not of heard am i'm going into semi retirement from the bar trade...well for 3 months at least... to hit Vegas and give poker a red hot go while The WSOP (World Series of Poker) is on.

I qualified last year but played like The Gold Coast Suns... a little underdone and overawed but like 'Bluey Mckenna's kids, I'm sure after rough and tumble opening season i will be better for the experience in my sophomore year.

Not to say im Karmichael Hunt mind you.... more of a Jarred Harbrow. And similar to him im shitting and hoping whats left behind doesn't turn out to be better option.

Im off in 2 weeks tomorrow and am setting this so everyone can see how i go in the tournaments... and for some correspondence with home in case i turf my phone into the Bellagio pool after my Aces get cracked in a bad beat (note: odds of phone loss 12-1) and lose all contact wit the real world while im sleeping all day and hitting the felt all night.


Mainly this first entry is just to see how i actually do this... and test my colourful language (to see what i can and cant type on this crazy internet blog thing) hope it works... (well if it doesnt no-one will know i guess. Bonus.

The main event starts on july 7 and is a $10000 entry. there are around 7000 players from all over the world who will be playing and first prize last year was just under $US9mil. second was $6 mil... and frankly i would be happy with around 45th which is still $200k.

anyway ill be posting this on Facebook etc. to keep you up date on all the action. It may get a bit poker heavy...but thats what im here for . so if you want to know what going on... best find out if a flush beats a straight before hand... (it does.... first lesson for free)

I have enjoyed winning tournaments in vegas but not to WSOP level. Good luck and looking forward to following your exploits.
