After spending 1 night in a dodgy cabin at Lakes Entrance, we headed further South West along Lakes Entrance. The main part of Lakes Entrance was much more tourist focussed than I had imagined. Nice place but we are getting used to camp spots that are more off the beaten track so in search of camps that are not the standard campgrounds. The cabin at Lakes Entrance was VERY basic - I feel cleaner in the bush than in places like that! Reef, on the other hand, laid eyes on the cabin and said "wow, this place is BOODIFUL". Oh well, at least his standards are dropping...hehe

So on we went in search of surf and waters that actually contain fish...

We landed at Emu Bight which is part of The Lakes National Park. This is by far the most primitive place we have stayed with no showers, no drinking water and a hole in the earth for a toilet (it did, however, have a toilet seat so quite posh really!!). The memory that stands out the most about this place was the silent ambush we received from the mozzies. Oh my god, I didn't know that many mozzies could fit in 1 cubic cm! And the little buggers got through clothes so there was not much escaping. I have never had much faith in Aeroguard and Citronella sticks until this trip - believe me they really do work!

Of course, Alex had his usual fish without a single bite. I'm starting to think this whole fishing thing is a big conspiracy.
