LEST WE FORGET
The countdown to the start of the next phase on our Journey of Faith started on Friday 25th April. On a very cold and clear morning in Traralgon where the temparature dipped to zero we watched, on TV, services held around Australia to honour those who had given their lives in protection of our freedom and way of life. The services especially remembered those who gave their lives at Anzac cove in Turkey 99 years ago.

LEST WE FORGET

Later in the morning we headed off with June and Tony for a bike ride and in contrast to the early morning the temperature had risen and gave a fine mild sunny day just right for riding. We drove about 30 minutes out of Traralgon to the small town of Boolarra and the start of the 'Grand Ridge Rail Trail' a disused railway line that has been converted into a bike/walking trail some 13 kilometers (8 miles) long. The trail winds through the Strzelecki ranges to the town of Mirboo North. It was a great day enjoying Gods creation.

On Saturday 26th April under cloudy skies and periods of heavy rain we continued to load up the van and

check that everything was ready for our next journey.

We were up bright and early on Sunday 27th April and the weather had returned to that of Friday, clear cold morning to be followed by a sunny day. We headed off from Traralgon back to Hastings, this time without the van, to attend the 9.30am Holy Communion service at Holy Trinity. It was great to see so many people at the service and especially so many new faces both adult and children. After Alex had delivered his sermon we were invited up to speak on BCA and especially on the Nomads plus what we may be doing at St Peters in Mallacoota. After our talk the congregation was invited to come out to the front and pray for us and to commission us to 'Go Out and Tell' as part of BCA. This is something very special to us both as we always feel the prayers of our family and friends.

Following the service was the traditional morning cuppa, biscuit and chat with an open invitation to join us for lunch at the Marina restaurant. We were joined at the restaurant by 13 friends from Holy Trinity where

we enjoyed a great meal, great conversation and fellowship. These times are a special gift from God and are times we will always remember.

Monday 28th April again saw us checking and double checking the van, the car and ourselves - We don't want to forget anything.

So we are now ready willing and able to start off on Tuesday 29th April and go wherever He may lead us. Stay tuned for the Blog updates as we continue our: -
