Our bikes clocked 3000 kilometers as we escaped from the freezing fog and rain south of Bombala. Dripped into a motel in Bairnsdale Saturday night, then made a beeline on the motorway Sunday to Lucette Joseph’s house in Berwick, a dear friend formerly from New Plymouth, who just celebrated her 85th birthday. Had a great two days with her and her son Miles and his wife and family who live a few blocks away, as well as Tom, Lucette’s grandson visiting from Hawaii. Saw our first funnel web spider.
