Tasmanien& Sydney/ Tasmania and Sydney

Wie schnell die Zeit doch vergeht, jetzt bin ich schon 2 Monate unterwegs und morgen in einem Monat lande ich auch schon wieder in Frankfurt.

Die Tour an der tasmanischen Westkueste war herrlich, viel Natur und wieder sehr nette Leute kennengelernt. Unter anderen meinen zukuenftigen Ex-Banker Ehemann, wie ein paar Australier aus Perth, die wir in Strahan getroffen haben, beschlossen haben 😉 Also Sebastian, falls du das hier liest, ich warte immer noch auf Details zu deinen Wohnungen :D Zurueck zum Ernst der Dinge. Wir haben viele Wasserfaelle besucht, sind Teil des am laengsten laufenden Theaterstuecks in Australien geworden und sind in ca. 2,5 Stunden Cradle Mountain bestiegen. Der 5 Stunden Hike war traumhaft und ich bin jetzt noch mehr in Tasmanien verliebt als vorher. Danach haben sie mich in Sheffield abgesetzt, wo mich Natasha abgeholt hat.

In Sheffield hat sich viel getan in den Familien als auch in der Stadt selber, aber trotz all dem fuehlt es sich eher an, als ob ich 5 Monate und nicht 5 Jahre weg war. Es ist irgendwie einfach eine zweite Heimat und zu gehen ohne zu wissen, wann ich das naechste mal zurueck komme wird sehr schwer werden. Daher bin ich jetzt auch wieder hierher zurueck nach einem 1 woechigen Sydneybesuch, fuer meine letzten 2 Wochen in Australien.

Sydney war toll, auch wenn das Hotel, nicht wirklich ein Hotel war sondern eben ein Backpacker und ich gleich in der ersten Nacht eine Kakerlake toeten musste um mein Bett nicht zu teilen :D

Ich war ja nicht alleine hier, sondern habe meinen Onkel aus Hamburg getroffen, dem ich die ersten 3 Tage bei einem Interview fuer seine neuste Dokumentation geholfen habe. Jetzt weiss ich einiges mehr ueber Derivate, Ursachen und Loesungsansaetze fuer die Finanzkrise und was das Ponzi Prinzip ist :D Es war eine sehr interessante Zeit und Herr Das ist wirklich ein kluger Mann, der viel zu erzaehlen hat.
Danach haben wir uns ein wenig entspannt unter anderen am Manly Strand und im Botanischen Garten und haben einen tollen Ausflug in die Blue Mountains nach Katoomba gemacht.
Ausserdem habe ich auch Daphne und Anja wieder getroffen, die ich von je unterschiedlichen Touren kannte.

Falls sich irgendwer meinen Zeitplan gemerkt hat und denkt wieso denn 2 restliche Wochen in Australien, sie fliegt doch schon in 1 Woche auf die Fiji Inseln. Ich habe den Hinflug auf den 11 verschoben.
Die eine Nacht im Hotel auf Nadi habe ich heute gebucht (dekadent mit Meerblick, aber bevor die Krise das Geld entwertet, goenn ich mir lieber was 😉 ) und die Stunden, die ich habe werden voll genutzt mit mindestens 1 Tagestour. Segelschiff, Dorfbesichtigung und schnorcheln sind geplant, wenn ich es rechtzeitig um 8.30am zum Anleger schaffe. Sollte mein 6.20am Flug Verspaetung haben, habe ich ein Problem.

Und dann ist es ja auch schon bald Zeit fuer Kanada, wo mich doch jetzt tatsaechlich eine Freundin besuchen kommt 😊 Franzi ich freu mich riiiiesig auf unsrem Trip!!!

Time passes quickly, now I'm already on the road for 2 months and 1 months in the future I'll already be back in Frankfurt.

The tour at the Tasmanian west coast was great, lots of nature and again met heaps of nice people. We went to heaps of waterfalls, became part of Australia's longest running play and went up Cradle Mountain in about 2,5 hs. This 5 hours hike was awesome and now I'm even more in love with Tasmania as I was before. Afterwards the tour guide dropped me of in Sheffield where I got picked up by Natasha.

Many things have changed in Sheffield concerning the families, but also within the city itself. But despite all the changes it feels like I've been only away for 5 months not 5 years. It is like a second home here and it will be very hard to leave, especially as I don't know when I can come to visit the next time. That's why after 1 week in Sydney, I returned to Sheffield for my last two weeks in Australia.

Sydney was fantastic even the hotel was not really a hotel, but more of a backpacker hostel and I had to kill a cockroach the first night to have my bed for myself :D

But as some might know, I was not alone, but met my uncle from Hamburg to help him for 3 days with an interview for his newest documentary project. Now I know much more about derivatives, causes and possible solutions for the financial crises and what a Ponzi scheme is. It was a very interesting time and Mr. Das is a very knowledgeable man, who has a lot to tell.
Afterwards we relaxed by visiting Manly each and hanging out at the Botanical garden and we had a great trip to the Blue Mountains to Katoomba. I also met up with Daphne and Anja, who I knew from 2 different tours I made.

If someone remembers my original plan will wonder, why 2 remaining weeks in Australia, she was supposed to fly to Fiji in 1 week. Oh well I changed the plan and rescheduled the flight to the 11th.

Today I booked the one night in Nadi (very decadent with ocean view, but before the crises devalues all my money I rather give myself a treat now 😉) and the few hours I have there will be used by joining at least 1 daytour. Sailing, village visit and snorkelling is the plan if I can reach the Marina 8.30am on time. If my flight which is due 6.20am, I have a big problem.

And shortly afterwards it's already time for Canada, where luckily a friend joins me 😊 Franzi I'm soooo much looking forward to our trip!!!

That was that for now, next week after Easter and the mural festival I might have more to write.
