hangin out at the prison in port arthur We left Melbourne aiport at 7am on Thursday 26th of october with the three girls from mayo,we did not know what to expect when we arrived in Hobart none of us had done much research. so, we headed straight to the tourist office which was not very helpful at all and before we knew it we were renting a car and on the road to a famous prison called "port arthur" this is were all the gruesome convicts were sent they called them the rats they were sent over from england to serve out their scentence for stealing hens or horses minor things but , this place was hell on earth. While we were there Prince William Orange from the Netherlands graced us with his presence as we were on walking around the grounds. The next day, we headed to cadburys chocolate factory its the largest in the southern hemisphere and is so worth a visit just for the chocolate experience, after the tour we came back to Hobart and ate in the 'Drunken admiral' down by the docks one of the many seafood restaurants its hard to decide were has the best seafood NZ or TAZ? yummy!!!! fish is amazing here! The next
day it was very cold and wet so we headed 2hrs drive up north stopped for a tea break and drove back a bit boring really but that night we made up for it we ate in the best greek restaurant outside of crete" yamas" and then we headed to the pubs and ended to a nite club called ''syrup''and thats when it all gets a bit hazy from talking to countless people at the bar to sean and mauve pool dancing it was a very interesting night photos to prove it, the next day we slept and slept and slept the whole day im serious!!! all five of us did not get up till after 3pm.and the next day we flew back to Melbourne.
On halloween day, we bought the paddy wagon i will have photos in the next blog.On the 2nd of November sean had to go to the hostpital for minor surgery due to a misfortunate ACCIDENT that happened 2wks ago sean got a 7mm piece of glass in his finger and we just want to thank all the nursing and admin staff at the royal melbourne uni hospital for been so nice and excellent at their
jobs the operation was a sucess and sean lived to tell the tale.
thats all our news for now we head up north in a week. so, ill chat soon.
