Family time

We have spent yesterday and today with the family. Yesterday I met Andy in Hobart and we had a bit of retail therapy! The weather seems to have settled since Wednesday and has been bright, warm and sunny so we walked around the shops and had a coffee sitting in the sunshine.. We met up with Brian who had opted to go for a walk instead of shopping and then onto Sandy Bay for lunch and back to June's for a lazy evening.
Today, we visited Alex a neighbour of June's and spent lovely hour wandering around his garden. Then into Kingston Beach where we sat on the promenade and watched a lot of very energetic Tasmanians compete in a volleyball competition whilst others sailed, water ski-ied, or rose high above the water in something I can only describe as water jet boots which lift you up out if the water and look great fun ...but I suspect there is a lot more to balancing on the jets of water to keep upright than we could see. We then took a steep path and walked up from the beach to Andy and Brian's .Their home is in a fabulous location overlooking the beach and bay. There we had another great family barbecue...lots of good food and many laughs. It's our last day in Tassie tomorrow ...we will be sorry to go.
