Prisoners were often kitted out with tools of the trade to do while in their cells

These tiny cells were obviously not painted and we are sure very damp, drafty and dark. they spent 23 hours every day in here.

Each seat was sectioned off by a door therefore keeping the prisoners apart. they were put back in their cells in order.
