Tasmania greeted us with cold and wet weather as we’ve come to expect everywhere at this point. We did a walking tour of downtown Hobart. It’s amazing how flowers thrive here. English Gardens everywhere and roses seem to grow like weeds. A gardener’s dream for sure. We caught a city bus out to the Cascade Brewery where we had made a reservation for a tour of the oldest brewery in Australia. The tour was alright but the gardens were amazing. We also learned about the (maybe extinct) Tasmanian Tiger that used to roam the island. We had an amazing seafood lunch at Mure’s. It was counter service right on the waterfront and exactly what we were looking for. Great oysters and fresh fish ‘n chips. The rain poured down on us as we made our way back to the boat.
