Time flies when you are enjoying yourself. So long since I got a Blog in that I cannot remember when it was. We have been very very busy the past two weeks. On getting to Adelaide we just spent one night at the BIG ROCKING HORSE - photo attached. It is not a caravan park or park over, but kindly Lyn (my cousin) and her husband Frans let us stay as we pleased. The Rocking Horse is an Aussie ICON. Everyone you talk to knows of it right down to Melbourne. Apart from the horse there is a very nice restaurant (open during the day), a souvenir shop and a zoo with local wildlife. From there we drove about 400 km north to the Flinders Ranges and spent 5 days driving and traveling around in the region. We had a bit of rain but overall it was good traveling. Attached are 2 photos: one of the road through a canyon - you drive in the river bed. Not too deep and quite exciting as it goes on for quite some time. The other photo is of the view from Razor Back. Just spectacular. The caravan handled well in the mud and rough roads and one hardly noticed the big dips in the unsealed roads. On the way back we stopped of a a small place (about 10 houses) called Parachilna. The local hotel specialises in Feral Food. We had 2 kangaroo meats, camel salami, emu liver pate' and goats cheese with fresh baked beread and pickles. Very nice. There were about 20 4 x 4 vehicles with all occupants downing beer and eating roadkill inside. They certainly have created an attraction in the middle of nowhere!

Back in Gumarecha which is in the Adelaide Hills - where the Rocking Horse lives we have spent the last week exploring. Did the Barossa and took Liesel to Maggie Beer's Farm for a meal - and a photo of her in Maggie's Studio - photo attached. We also did a day to Hahndorff with lunch in the German Arms. To much to eat and the doggie bag lasted into the next day. On Monday we picked John and Sue up at the airport - they are joining us for the next 6 weeks. We took them to the rental company but their van was not yet in. They put them up for the night in a chalet so we took them to a grocer for some supplies and a bit of a drive around. They joined us here at Gum (how the Aussies shorten it) on Tuesday the Wednesday we did a round trip through Barossa. This morning they moved on to the York Peninsula while we stayed back to have the LC's wheel alignment done and to pick up a Personal Location Beacon which I had ordered. I promised the kids I would get one - IN CASE!!. Got it now so they can relax. We
