Gina, Baz and Zoe
The Ippy Gals were on hand to farewell us before we left on the next leg of the journey! Last night Robbie took Gina and Bec out to “Players” with their $1 drinks-shit how could I not go there? Gina had to work from 5.30am so she only had about three hours sleep this morning. The sleep that I got, about the same. I couldn’t help but toss and turn all night, trying to comprehend the knobbishness of myself. But when I woke up, perhaps it could have been in Robbie’s car. Maybe on the couch at Gina’s or in my pants that I changed out of. I had to admit I was super grumpy last night so I apologized to Robbie and Gina, but you’d be pretty annoyed too if you did something so knobbish!
I went through all of my clothes thoroughly and nothing turned up. Robbie decided to let me do a spic and span scan of his car where I found two combs and a yr 12 passport photo of Robbie but what I really needed was my photo ID!
What do you know-I’d left it at the Glades’. As soon as I walked into the gaming room, the girl smiled at me and we briefly chatted before I gave her a $14

The Ippy Gals were on hand to farewell us before we left on the next leg of the journey! tip (all in $1 coins from yesterday’s marvellous dolphin dunking!). Gina and Zoe said, “everyone loses things”, but I don’t know if anyone could be as knobby as I have been. Robbie’s making call after calls of how knobological I am and the drive up north is going to be fun today!
Tonight it’s Bec’s farewell party so Zoe and Gina are getting ready for it. Coming down for the party is Candice and Daniel, plus a few of the crew that met us last time we were up here! Pity that we weren’t going to be around as Libby’s movie night was also tonight and you gotta remember that she is the one that lobbied hard for us to come up north! This scheduling business is goddamn crazy, but as Robbie put it so well, “We can’t help being so popular!” (Sydney take note-if you hate us, we know where we’re gonna buy a holiday house!). There were a few people we couldn’t see this time around-Angie had her studies to finish off and Mel-what’s the story there? Not sure but we made up for it anyway. Unfortunately, the Show must go on and WE promised the Ippy

The surprises didn’t end there on the TOB. Robbie just decides to rock on up, me losing my photo ID, (no surprise on the knobological tip and Gina* had always been bagging me out on whether I had lost my wallet yet or not-LOL!) and the spreading of our new word for the trip-Couth! It’s the word of this trip and while the Ippy girls are getting the hang of it, in return they give us “score” (i.e. niiiiiice) and Robbie proposes to make “
Songs in the key of Couth” as the title of his CD. He he he, I’m still waiting for Northern Exposure part 2 (LOL!).
For the babes of Buderim, they only know that I’m being driven up by “a friend that I met in Ipswich” (true?!). Leaving Ippy, we went through Garden City (grrr), onto the Gateway Bridge before hammering it up on National Highway 1!
We find a bit of trouble in our game of “Spot the NSW plates”, but driving along with the accompanying soundtrack of “
Northern Exposure” was couth indeed! What about Robbie at the wheel? Not only has he been

The Ippy Gals were on hand to farewell us before we left on the next leg of the journey! at the wheel for ‘The Greatest Road Trip of All Time’, displaying his reputation as a long distance trooper, but on the short runs he was the man (constantly breaking the record between Bec’s and Gina*s), driving after a few $1 drinks and a few K’s over the speed limit with a police car going in the opposite direction…choosing to turn the blind eye! The drive up to the Sunny Coast was a dream. We had to get to Kawana Waters by 6pm (when Jesska finished work) and as we counted down the K’s to the Sunny Coast, we knew that this Tour of Booty was just going to get better and better!
“I know we all agree the Sunshine Coast is a great place to live.” Chris Cummins, MP Kawana
Once we found Kawana Waters (after some unhelpful directions from the service station at Buderim), we get this strange look from Jess who remembered what Robbie’s car looked like but the look was like, “What the hell are you doing here?!!!!” I felt pretty good and once we settled down at Jess’ place, I started my innings of getting munted (at Queen Jesska’s authorial request)! The High
Queen of Booty was in command tonight and I should have eaten first, I should have eaten first…………mmm, nice bed in the lounge room…I did bring my parachutes… (9pm)
2nd Innings 11pm-Libby L is here with Dan! I think I saw them but meh! I was still a bit groggy. What a disgusting performance though, I think Jesska was happy with it! When I finally got my legs to listen to my brain, we made the move over to Libby L’s for her movie night. Tonight the movies were
Super Troopers, a Canadian special for Libby (even though its in Vermont!). Dan followed up with
Donnie Darko, which gave Libby nightmares night after night. The only thing about drinking pre-mixed cola + spirit drinks is that if you don’t pass out on the alcohol, the caffeine keeps you up…
